The staff in the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill thank you for your support and your child's interest in one of our over 50 fraternities and sororities. Carolina is an exciting place to be and we assure you that your son or daughter is a part of a strong tradition of fraternity and sorority life at Carolina.

As you may know, UNC has over 150 years of fraternity and sorority life, which has expanded to over 50 very diverse organizations. We have organizations ranging from those based on Christian and Lutheran teachings to those who embrace Native American, Asian American, and Latin American heritage. Membership in all fraternities and sororities encompass approximately 17% of the undergraduate population at Carolina (about 2,900 students!).
