2009 Panhellenic Recruitment Team

Fall 2009 Formal Recruitment registration is open. Please click here to enroll!

The Panhellenic sororities host formal recruitment collectively at the beginning of the fall semester. The formal recruitment period is designed in a way that allows each potential member the opportunity to become acquainted with as many sororities as possible so that she may make a wise and unbiased decision concerning membership. Furthermore, formal recruitment allows sororities to recruit potential members on an equal opportunity basis under Panhellenic guidelines.

Sigma Rho Lambda and Phi Beta Chi are Associate Members of Panhellenic and do not participate in Panhellenic Formal Recruitment. Sigma Rho Lambda ia a Jewish Interest sorority and Phi Beta Chi is a social sorority with Christian ideals.

Each woman interested in joining a Panhellenic sorority must register for Panhellenic Recruitment prior to coming to campus. There is a $50 registration fee which covers the cost of supplies, computer software, the Recruitment Brochures, etc.  In order to pay the regular registration fee you must register on or before the registration deadline which is August 21.   After that deadline,  the price is $60. Registration is usually open until 5:00pm the evening of Kick Off, which is September 2.

Each incoming first-year woman will receive a Recruitment Booklet to her permanent home address in the summer.  If you do not receive one, or are a sophomore or transfer student, please email please contact us  with your summer address. You should complete the online registration form and either pay online or mail in a check for the $50 registration fee to the Panhellenic Council.

Upon arrival to campus, all potential members will meet with their pre-assigned Recruitment Counselors, who will acclimate them to the recruitment process and bring them to the Recruitment Kick-off.  If you are not contacted, by the afternoon of the Kick-off, please contact us.
