Aaron Bachenheimer

Aaron served as the Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life and Community Involvement at UNC-Chapel Hill from 2011 through January 2018 and has worked at UNC since 2009. He has previously worked in various leadership positions within student affairs at Appalachian State University and Hampden-Sydney College. Aaron earned his undergraduate degree from App State in 1996, a Master’s degree in College Student Personnel from Miami University (OH) in 2002, and his Doctoral degree from North Carolina State University in Higher Education Administration in 2014. He is a member of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity and serves as a Chapter Advisor, Ladder of Risk and Alcohol Skills Training facilitator and on the National Fraternity’s Risk Management and Strategic Planning Committees. Aaron enjoys helping students see their challenges from different perspectives so that they might discover and develop new and innovative strategies to address them. He also enjoys snowboarding, burgers with bacon and avocado, and jam bands. He lives with his wife Dorsey (an Alpha Delta Pi alum) and his 2 year old Beagle, Banjo. Aaron can be reached at
